Downed San Francisco Power Lines Cause Muni Delays, Outages
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) -- More than 150 feet of power lines came down in San Francisco's Sunset District and near Duboce Triangle Saturday night, causing outages and disrupting service on San Francisco Municipal Railway's N-Judah line for several hours, a Muni spokesman said.
About 150 to 200 feet of power lines came down near Judah Street and 22nd Avenue, and near Duboce Avenue and Fillmore Street, about 5:55 p.m., Muni spokesman Paul Rose said.
No injuries were reported, but the N-Judah line stopped service near the fallen lines and did start running again until about 10:10 p.m., Rose said.
Up to 5,000 PG&E San Francisco lost power due to the downed lines, utility spokesman J.D. Guidi said.
Those customers had their power restored early Sunday morning, Guidi said.
