LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-4 in Game 5 of the National League Championship Series.
After going homer-less in the first four games of the series, the Dodgers hit four solo home runs Wednesday — two by Adrian Gonzalez, one in the 5th inning and another in the 8th.
Carl Crawford and A.J. Ellis hit two more solo shots.
The Cardinals trailed 6-2 in the 9th when the Cardinals tacked on two runs against Dodgers reliever Kenley Jansen.
