Detectives Find Stash Of Drugs, Guns, Cash During Antioch House Search
ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- Two people were arrested Thursday morning after Contra Costa County sheriff's officials served a search warrant at an Antioch home and seized several weapons, drugs and cash.
Around 11 a.m., sheriff's detectives served a search warrant at a home in the 4500 block of Elkhorn Way, according to sheriff's officials.
During the search, detectives seized about one pound of heroin, methamphetamine, ecstasy and marijuana. The value of the drugs is estimated to be about $30,000, sheriff's officials said.
Additionally, seven firearms were seized, including a shotgun, two assault rifles with hi-capacity magazines and four handguns, two of which were stolen. Detectives also found a stolen motorcycle as well as $76,000 in cash, according to sheriff's officials.
Detectives arrested two residents, 40-year-old Michael Green and 30-year-old Joseph Lowery. The two were arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sales, maintaining a place to for the purpose of selling drugs, possession of drugs while armed with a loaded firearm, possession of stolen property and child endangerment, sheriff's officials said.
The pair was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
