THE DEFENSE:
Q: Did you buy the car painted like this or did you have it done?
A: I originally had it as silver, and then I painted it pink. That's my favorite color, and I already had the black stripes.
Q: How long have you owned your vehicle?
A: I'm almost at four years.
Q: What neighborhood do you live in?
A: I live in Fairmont in Pacifica right now, 94044.
Q: How old are you, Monica?
A: I'm 26.
Q: What's your car's main use?
A: I drive it to work, and then when I go out, so I can spend anywhere from about half an hour to an hour a day.
Q: Do you use it mainly to commute to work?
A: Yeah, worst part would be the 19th Avenue traffic coming back. My favorite part is when there is no traffic. I just cruise through to work in the morning.
Q: Where did you get your car?
A: I ordered it brand new from Mini of Concord Dealership. I had gone there and didn't see an actual car or model that I liked. I ended up just ordering one. Then it got delivered there. I went back and picked it up.
Q: Was it a good experience?
A: Yes, it was a very good experience.
Q: What's your favorite day trip from home?
A: I like to just cruise the 1 sometimes, if there is nice weather. I like that it has the ocean view and the scenic that's quiet, and the turns.
Q: Where's the furthest place you've driven with your car?
A: Santa Cruz. Probably about two hours.
Q: Did you go with anyone?
A: I went with my husband. We had just decided to go to the boardwalk.
Q: Do you have any rules in your car?
A: Rules for other people are not to eat or drink, but I can. To keep it clean. Oh, and no pets!
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: I do.
Q: But your pets are allowed?
A: No, she's not allowed in here either.
Q: What kind of pet do you have?
A: I have an English bulldog.
Q: What do you listen to in your car?
A: Oh mainly just music. I have a radio and then CDs, but I didn't buy the adapter, so I don't have my playlist.
Q: Do you ever rock out or sing along?
A: Yes, definitely.
Q: If your car had a theme song, what would it be?
A: "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO.
Q: If your car had a human emotion, what would it be?
A: It'll definitely be perky. I would say perky because it can accelerate pretty fast and I picked a pretty, bright, happy color, so it's just naturally perky.
Q: How many miles do you think are left on the life of your car?
A: I don't want to say endless, but I mean, you know, I'm going to probably keep this car for a long time.
Q: So you plan on keeping it until you buy a new one and this one gives out on you?
A: Yeah, exactly.
Q: What do you think your next car will realistically be?
A: I'm really happy with the Mini, so I'm going to stick with this one.
Q: If you had an absolute dream car, what would it be?
A: Bentley Convertible, if I'm not buying that is.
Q: I noticed you had some nice rims. Were those on when you ordered the car?
A: No, I actually bought those custom, but I'm about to change them again to black wheels.
Q: Oh really, why?
A: These ones have some scratches on them already, so I think I might just go with all black.
Q: Is there anything else we should know about your car?
A: I think it's the best car that there is. It's good for parking. It's good on the gas. It's a great car to drive.
