Death On Menlo Park Caltrain Tracks Delays Service
MENLO PARK (CBS SF) - Caltrain passengers were warned to expect delays of 30 to 40 minutes Friday after a train struck and killed a person on the tracks in Menlo Park, an agency spokeswoman said.
Southbound tracks reopened following the collision, and both southbound and northbound trains were using a single set of tracks through Menlo Park, which is causing the delays, Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.
A northbound train struck a person around 9:30 a.m. near Ravenswood Avenue. The collision initially stopped two northbound and two southbound trains.
