Danville Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested In Arizona
DANVILLE (CBS SF) - A man suspected of robbing a Chase Bank branch in Danville earlier this month has been arrested in Arizona, police said.
Dustin Burt, 29, of Stockton, was taken into custody on several outstanding warrants by authorities in Arizona on March 17, according to police.
He is suspected of robbing the Chase Bank at 661 Ramon Valley Blvd. in Danville at about 10:15 a.m. on March 7.
Police said a man in his 20s wearing a white turban entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded money, then left with about $20,000.
No weapons were seen and no one was injured.
Burt is also a suspect in other bank robberies, police said. He is being extradited back to California to be charged with the Danville robbery.
Investigators were able to identify Burt as a suspect using footage from the bank's surveillance cameras and intelligence information from the FBI.
