Dancing Grandma Fist Pumps Her Way Through Giants' Victories
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - One of the stars of the San Francisco Giants' postseason run is making her presence known - not with a bat or her throwing arm, but with her dance moves.
Rosalie Alioto, 86, is a diminutive grandmother who has been a loyal fan for more than 50 years, and these days a star on AT&T Park's "dance cam."
In the third inning of every home game, the Giants blast "Fist Pump" from Jersey Shore through the ballpark, and the cameras focus on dancing fans. Alioto is the undisputed star of the show.
KCBS' Dave Padilla Reports:
"Give the people a little lift," she said. "Because some people are kind of quiet. They see me out there, they always scream. And I do more."
"I have fun doing it," she said in her first formal "press" junket.
She dances to deafening roars from the crowd, often alongside her granddaughter, Juliana, 13.
"She's the one who tells me they're playing your song, and then I get up and dance," Alioto said with a laugh.
"It's always fun watching her," confirmed the teen. "Because it looks like she's having a great time."

Black and orange clearly runs deep for the family - Rosalie's son, Mario Alioto, is the team's senior vice president for marketing. Her grandson Marco is one of the team's batboys.
Alioto, who says she is distantly related to San Francisco's Alioto political clan, is confident they'll go all the way in the World Series.
"Whether they win or lose," she added, "they're still my team."
