Daily Madden: The Raiders Look To Bounce Back In Miami
OAKLAND (KCBS) - The 0-1 Raiders travel to Miami to face the 0-1 Dolphins Sunday. John Madden told the KCBS morning crew the Raiders need to take a lesson from the Green Bay Packers, who bounced back from their loss to the 49ers last weekend with a convincing win over the Chicago Bears.
"The Packers were a little flat and then they came out Thursday night and they turned it around. The Raiders have to do the same thing. They were a little flat, they had some problems and didn't really look good in the opener on Monday night. Now they have to turn it around, and all those things they didn't do well, they have to do them well down in Miami. And it's a pretty good chance. Miami is not a great team... The toughest thing (the Raiders) have to do is fly across country on a short week and play a one o'clock game. That's not easy."
Madden likes the 49ers in Sunday's match-up against Detroit.
"You hate to jump to conclusions after one game," Madden said. "You really don't know who is going to be the best team until after Thanksgiving... Having said that, I'd say that right now the 49ers look like the best team in the NFL."
The 49ers are six and a half point favorites.
"If they believe the press clippings that they're the best team in the NFL, then (Detroit) is a team that could sneak up and bite you," he said. (7:55)
