Daily Madden: The Necktie Factor In The NFL Talks
(KCBS) - John Madden is more hopeful about the NFL contract talks, now that both sides have removed their neckties. He says that might have something to do with the proposal to further extend the deadline.
Can Bob Sanders return to his earlier form that made him the NFL defensive player of the year for the Indianapolis Colts? The San Diego Chargers, who signed him to a one year deal, hope so. So does John, who says Sanders should be able to recover from his most recent injury. Madden says Sanders lives up to his nicknames: "the hit man" for his ability to stop plays, and "the eraser" for his ability to make up for teammates' mistakes. (9:50)
