Daily Madden: Superb Job by Kaepernick
(KCBS) - On the road and down by double digits, playing in a dome with incredibly distracting noise, Coach Madden praises the 49ers' young quarterback for making all the right adjustments, exercising great communication, and executing the right plays to propel San Francisco to a Sunday victory over Atlanta and a trip to the Super Bowl.
"When you get down and you're on the road , 17-to-0, it's very difficult," Coach Madden explained to the KCBS morning crew the chance for a comeback late in the game.
"Colin Kapernick did such a great job," he continued. "I don't know that everyone knows how difficult communicating is, when you're playing on the road in a dome with that noise you call plays in the huddle and then you have to make adjustments and change things at the line of scrimmage and then because you're in the pistol you're back from them and then you have to go up to tell the line and back to tell the backs and out to tell the receivers. You just think, for a young quarterback who, we know when he runs or when he passes and all that stuff, but his running that game, to me, the job that he did was superb."
