Daily Madden: Raiders Need To Seize Opportunity For First Win In London
OAKLAND (KCBS) - The odds makers have the 1-2 Dolphins as a slight favorite to beat the winless Raiders in London Sunday.
"It is a game (the Raiders) could win, but that doesn't mean anything unless you play that way," John Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew. "A couple weeks ago against Houston at home was a game they could win. And they looked terrible in that game. And then they went last week against the Patriots in a game that maybe they didn't have a chance to win but they looked pretty good. That's a little improvement."
Madden said the trip overseas is a distraction for both teams.
"They go over there early to get acclimated, but it's still who are you acclimating? If you're acclimating good players, then they're going to play well. If you're acclimating average players that aren't as good as the guys they're playing against that aren't acclimated, the better players are always going to win... If you took talent or acclimation, I'd say talent will always beat acclimation." (6:15)
