Daily Madden: Parcells To Coach The Saints?
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - New Orleans coach Sean Payton, suspended for the season by the NFL for the Saints bounty system, said he'll meet with former NFL coach Bill Parcells about coaching the Saints on an interim basis.
"Just knowing Bill Parcells, I don't think it's ridiculous," John Madden told the KCBS morning crew. "He's a guy that when he's doing it he can't live with it, and when he's not doing it he can't live without it... He still likes that process of being courted and being wanted."
Former Denver quarterback Tim Tebow met with the New York media Monday after he signed with the New York Jets. Where does that leave Jets QB Mark Sanchez?
"It doesn't make any difference if it's any good for Sanchez or not, it's how good it is for the Jets," Madden said. "I hear that 'oh Sanchez is going to be upset.' So what? You know, it's not the boy scouts, it's what you have to do to make your team better. And I watch Tim Tebow, and I think you can make your team better with Tim Tebow... I think he's a good football player." (8:35)
