Daily Madden: Media Day Distractions At The Super Bowl
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - It's about more than football at Super Bowl Media Day. John Madden was watching Tuesday.
"The first guy they put on for questions was Peyton Manning," Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew. "And one of the first questions was from one of those entertainment shows like Entertainment Tonight or one of those, (who) asked 'Are you going to do Saturday Night Live this week?'... It's the night before the Super Bowl game. You don't go on Saturday Night Live the night before the Super Bowl game. That's the last thing he would be doing."
John said it went downhill from there.
"The next question was, 'Of the housewife shows, which is your favorite?' (Manning) had no idea what the heck she was talking about," recalled Madden.
Some players are mobbed by reporters while others are neglected. "The big shots get the podium," Madden said. "The poor long snapper is over in the corner near the hot dog stand and no one talks to him." (7:15)
