Daily Madden: Matthews' Hit Was Key To Packers Victory
(KCBS) - From the Madden Cruiser on his way home to the Bay Area, John reviews the Super Bowl.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers played like the MVP he was, but it was Green Bay linebacker Clay Matthews' hit to force a fumble by Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall that was the key to the Packers victory.
John says the game met expectations, with two great defenses unable to shut down two great quarterbacks.
With the ball in the hands of Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger at the end of the game, Madden was among those who thought Pittsburgh would score and win, but Green Bay's defense stiffened to end the game.
And John shares his notes from the owners' box at Cowboys Stadium, including the texting etiquette of Madden and his presidential seat mate. (8:55)
