Daily Madden: Keeping The Raiders Motivated
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - The Raiders game against the Cleveland Browns in Oakland Sunday won't be televised because it's not a sell-out. How can a 3-8 team like the Raiders stay motivated? "You have to play the rest of the season and there are no playoff implications," John Madden told the KCBS morning crew. "I think there are other things that they can look forward to or they can do. Just some improvement, just, you know, fix some things. Things that may be pretty easy, like get rid of pre-snap penalties. Just make that a goal or objective. Do better on special teams. Tackle better. Play better against the run."
The Phoenix Suns are offering a money-back guarantee that fans will have fun at next week's game against the Dallas Mavericks. Win or lose, they said, the fans should have fun. "I think the Warriors are a pretty good indicator of that over the last ten years or so," Madden said. "They don't (necessarily) win, but you see some good games, some good teams and some good players. I think there's something to that. They fill the place, and I think Warrior fans are basically happy." The Warriors are 9-6 so far this season. "That makes those happy fans happier," Madden said.
