Daily Madden: Is Roethlisberger The Difference?
DALLAS, Texas (KCBS) -- Legendary Bay Area football coach and commentator John Madden previewed the Super Bowl on KCBS radio Friday, saying he has liked the Pittsburgh Steelers from the beginning, but adding that the Green Bay Packers are peaking on both sides of the ball.
The defenses are nearly identical, and each team has big play-making linebackers, with Clay Matthews attacking for Green Bay and James Harrison for Pittsburgh.
Madden said Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers "will make his plays," but Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's traditionally-impressive fourth-quarter performance could be the difference.
In the below podcast, you can also hear Madden share his notes from Jerry Jones' Super Bowl party, including his unusual encounter with Fergie from the Green Eyed Peas.
