Daily Madden: Don't Count Out The Eagles
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - The Philadelphia Eagles face the Seahawks in Seattle Thursday night in a match-up of two 4-7 teams whose fans expected better.
John Madden told the KCBS morning crew that it's still possible the Eagles can make the playoffs.
"It's a long shot, but the reason it's still a shot is that they're a good team," Madden said. "Then why are they 4 and 7? They haven't jelled yet, they haven't played well. But they're a very dangerous team... At some point the Eagles are going to bounce back."
Madden said the Eagles may play the role of spoiler over the next few weeks.
"If they're not going to the playoffs, and if you have a shot to go to the playoffs, I'll guarantee you, you don't want to have to play the Eagles." (7:25)
