Daily Madden: Countdown To Lockout
(KCBS) - John Madden isn't hopeful that the labor dispute between the NFL and players will be settled anytime soon, and that a lockout is a real possibility. He says the talk among players about decertifying the union is a strategy that could prevent a lockout, since the owners couldn't lock out players if they're not in a union. John says it's possible the dispute won't be settled until it matters the most, and that's when league play begins.
What's Carson Palmer's future as a Cincinnati Bengal? John says several factors could lead to his departure. Among them, says Madden, is that he hasn't been the same player since his knee injury and surgery several years ago. (8:44)
