Daily Madden: Bounce Back Time For The 49ers
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - Coming off an embarrassing home loss to the New York Giants Sunday, the 49ers meet the 4-2 Seattle Seahawks at Candlestick Thursday night.
"Seattle really has improved," John Madden told the KCBS morning crew. "The true strength of the team is their defense. They really do have good defense. They have a young quarterback that can make some plays, who plays a lot better at home than he does on the road. Marshawn Lynch -- I mean you know who he is -- he's a big strong running back... They can run the ball and play good defense and their quarterback can make some plays off running around and play action."
But John said he expects a 49ers victory.
"I can't see them losing two in a row and I can't see them being flat either. I think they're going to come out with a bang, which they have to, because I don't think they're a good uphill team... It's important I think for the 49ers, especially offensively, to get off to a real good start, because then they seem to play a lot better." (7:20)
