Daily Madden: A Little Progress In NFL Talks
(KCBS) - The NFL is offering to reveal more financial data to players as negotiations for a new contract continue. It's not clear if the union will be satisfied, but John Madden says it's a good sign that some progress is being made. One key point, says John, is how much additional revenue will go to the players if they agree to expand the season by two games.
Brewers ace Zack Greinke broke a rib playing basketball. Pro football legend Johnny Unitas tore his Achilles tendon playing paddleball. Should pro athletes play other sports recreationally, or is the risk of injury too great? John says some sports should be avoided, but in general it's asking too much to tell athletes not to do what comes naturally. (7:55)
