Daily Madden: Bay Area Sports Choices Plentiful
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - Bay Area sports fans have a lot to choose from Tuesday evening, with both the Giants and A's in action and the Sharks and Warriors in playoff games. John Madden's choice? The Golden State Warriors.
"I think what the Warriors are doing now, and the situation that they're in, and what it means and where they came from -- it's such a good story, and I kind of like to watch good stories," Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew. "I just think what the Warriors are doing now is pretty special."
The Warriors and Spurs are 2-2 in the seven game series.
Madden said, while he'll be rooting for the Warriors, he's also a fan of their playoff opponent - the San Antonio Spurs.
"Usually it helps when you really like your team and you hope you win and then you look at the opponent and you don't like them," Madden said. "The Spurs, to me anyway, are not an unlikable team. I mean (Spurs coach Gregg) Popovich is not an unlikable coach. You want the Warriors to win, but you don't dislike the opponent, or is that just me?" (9:25)
