Crash Sends Vehicle Onto BART Tracks Near Dublin
DUBLIN (CBS SF) -- A big-rig crash on eastbound Interstate 580 between Dublin and Pleasanton that sent a vehicle onto nearby BART tracks blocked two lanes of traffic Thursday afternoon and is causing delays on eastbound trains, authorities said.
The crash was reported around 2:30 p.m. on eastbound Highway 580 just west of Foothill Road, California Highway Patrol Officer Steve Creel said.

A driver of a big-rig carrying 60,000 pounds of dirt failed to see a bright yellow Mazda while changing lanes, Creel said.
The two vehicles collided and swerved left, striking a Nissan and a Lexus, Creel said.
The big-rig, Nissan and Mazda hit the center divide, forcing the Mazda through a chain link fence onto BART's right-of-way between the agency's West Dublin/Pleasanton and Castro Valley stations, Creel said.
Three drivers were sent to Eden Medical Center with minor injuries, Creel said.
BART trains are single-tracking through the area, so passengers on the Dublin/Pleasanton line can expect delays of about 5 minutes, BART spokeswoman Luna Salaver said.
There were no delays on trains heading to San Francisco or Daly City.
The two left lanes of Highway 580 were still blocked by debris at 4:45 p.m., Creel said, and traffic through the area remained heavy.
