Crash, Oil Spill Shuts Down Highway 101 In San Carlos
SAN CARLOS (CBS SF) -- All lanes have reopened on southbound U.S. Highway 101 in San Carlos after an injury crash and oil spill blocked the roadway Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Just after 5:45 a.m., a collision involving a car and a motorcyclist was reported. The collision also prompted an oil spill, which shut down the roadway's left and center lanes, the CHP is reporting.
The motorcyclist involved in the crash was sent to a hospital to be treated for injuries suffered in the crash.
Crews cleared the oil from the roadway, and all lanes reopened around 6:40 a.m., according to the CHP.
