Coyote Warning Issued To Dog Owners After Attacks In San Francisco's Presidio
SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) -- Dog owners who frequent San Francisco's Presidio were being warned to watch out for coyotes.
The warning was issued last week after coyotes attacked 2 dogs there.
The coyotes are in the middle of pupping season, and become very territorial. They perceive dogs as threats.
Park officials suggests owners keep their dogs on a short leash and never leave them unattended.
Pupping season can last through mid-summer.
