Costumed Women Rob, Assault Man In Novato Home
NOVATO (CBS SF) -- A Novato man was robbed and assaulted in his home early Wednesday morning by three women, one of them dressed as a fairy and another wearing military fatigues, a Novato police sergeant said.
Police responded around 1:50 a.m. to the 2000 block of Center Road where the 46-year-old victim was yelling for police and bleeding from a head injury, Sgt. Jennifer Welch said.
He told police three women tried to rob him. The first woman, dressed in a fairy costume, entered his house when she asked to use the man's phone, Welch said.
The second woman, dressed in military fatigues and identified as 20-year-old Teresa Gollihugh, of Novato, then entered the house and brandished a black handgun, Welch said.
A struggle began and the third woman entered the residence and assisted in the assault, Welch said.
The man escaped, yelled for police and the women fled. At least two of the women are related, Welch said.
The victim, who knew Gollihugh, was taken to Novato Community Hospital where he received extensive sutures, Welch said.
Gollihugh was arrested at 3 p.m. Wednesday at 499 Tomales Road in Petaluma, according to the Marin County Jail booking log.
She was booked under $100,000 bail for robbery, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, battery with serious bodily injury, conspiracy and exhibiting a firearm.
She is scheduled to be arraigned Friday morning in Marin County Superior Court.
Police are still looking for the other two suspects, Welch said.
