Coroner's Office Identifies Two Men Killed In Marin City
MARIN CITY (CBS SF) -- The Marin County coroner's office has identified two people killed at a Marin City apartment complex on Sunday as Jacari Lloyd Devon Cook, 29, and 60-year-old Carl Lee Breaux.
Chief Deputy Coroner Darrell Harris said autopsies on the pair, both Marin City residents, are scheduled for Tuesday.
A third man who was injured in the domestic violence shooting incident on Cole Drive was hospitalized, Marin County sheriff's Lt. Doug Pittman said.
The sheriff's office received 911 calls around 10 a.m. about an altercation involving bats or sticks, but when the first responders arrived callers told dispatchers that shots were fired, Pittman said.
"We received a number of phone calls that there was some sort of fight or altercation involving persons armed with bats, knifes, sticks, things of that nature, said Lt. Doug Pittman of the Marin County Sheriff's Office. "And, again, it was during our response that that was upgraded that people were now reporting that they were hearing gunfire taking place."
The deceased men were found outside an apartment building at 99 Cole Drive, and the injured man was found at 79 Cole Drive, Pittman said.
There appeared to be an argument between a male and female at 99 Cole Drive, and all the people involved knew each other, Pittman said Sunday.
There is no other information available Monday morning, Pittman said.
