Coroner IDs Motorcyclist Killed In I-80 Crash In Berkeley
BERKELEY (CBS SF) -- A man killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and a big-rig on Friday afternoon on Interstate Highway 80 in Berkeley has been identified by the Alameda County coroner's bureau as Timothy Ray Walker, 33, of Vallejo.
Walker had been riding his motorcycle on I-80 just west of Gilman Street at about 3:45 p.m. when the crash occurred, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Traffic was backed up on eastbound I-80 during the evening commute because of lane closures in effect during the crash investigation, the CHP said.
