Concord Burglary Suspects Fleeing Police Crash Into Home

CONCORD (CBS SF) -- Two residential burglary suspects were arrested in Concord Friday after they led police on a vehicle chase, crashed into a house and attempted to flee on foot, Concord police Lt. Tim Runyon said.

Police received a call around 11:25 a.m. reporting a possible residential burglary in progress in the 2900 block of Bella Drive, Runyon said.

Responding officers saw two suspects leaving the house in a vehicle and attempted to stop them, but the suspects fled.

The officers chased them to the intersection of Port Chicago Highway and Gehringer Drive, where the suspects' vehicle crashed into a house.

Nobody inside the house was hurt, Runyon said.

The two suspects then tried to run away but officers captured them.

The case was still under investigation Friday afternoon and police were not yet releasing the names of the suspects.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Detective Jeff Ross at (925) 603-5859.
