CNN's Bombing Coverage Becomes Source Of Social Media Mockery
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Social media erupted with phony headlines mocking CNN Wednesday after the network reported an arrest in the Boston Marathon blasts only to quickly backtrack.
CNN, among other outlets, reported that video surveillance had led to an arrest in Monday's deadly explosions, but within an hour, anchors said they were getting conflicting reports on the matter and that law enforcement officials had denied the arrest.
CNN's Twitter feed quickly flooded with parody tweets.
