Clear Skies Expected For Bay Area Fireworks Shows
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Clear skies are forecast Thursday night for most of the Bay Area's fireworks shows, KPIX 5 meteorologists said.
San Francisco will have clear skies for the fireworks along the Embarcadero with low temperatures in the mid 40s around midnight, Meteorologist Brian Hackney said.
It was 50 degrees at 3 p.m.
The air will be dry, and light winds in the area the next two nights will lead to cold
Temperatures, with inland areas seeing subfreezing temperatures on New Year's Day morning, weather service officials said.
Livermore will reach a low of 28 degrees, San Rafael 29 degrees, Concord 31, and Napa and Fairfield 30 degrees.
The coastal mountains and the North Bay may get up to three inches of rain when a storm enters the area by Tuesday.
More rain may fall from Wednesday to Friday.
Another freeze warning may be issued for Saturday morning.
