Chihuahua Pup With 2 Broken Legs Found In Dumpster At Santa Rosa College
SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) --A Chihuahua puppy with two broken front legs was found abandoned in a dumpster on the Santa Rosa Junior College campus last week.
A SRJC employee found the puppy on October 27 in a dumpster in the Bech parking lot near the greenhouse in Lark Hall, police said in a news release.
The employee took the pup to an animal hospital where it received medical attention before it was then taken by Sonoma County Animal Services.
SRJC police were notified about the abandoned and injured puppy the next day and were investigating the incident.
The puppy did not have identification tags or a microchip identifying its owner, SRJC police said.
Anyone who saw something suspicious near the Dumpster or has information about the abandonment should call Sonoma County Animal Services Officer Justin Foster at (707) 565-7100.
