Central Valley School Principal Attacked With Box Cutter, Police Seek 2 Suspects
GUSTINE, Merced County (CBS SF) -- Police in a Central Valley community are searching for two suspects after a principal was attacked with a box cutter Thursday afternoon.
According to CBS affiliate KGPE-TV in Fresno, the incident took place at Gustine Elementary School in the town of Gustine, about 30 miles west of Merced.
Police said two suspects confronted the principal about a student around 3:15 p.m. One of the suspects pulled out a box cutter and cut the principal's left cheek before getting away.
Students were reportedly in classrooms at the time of the incident and the school was placed into lockdown. No students were injured.
The principal's injuries were non-life threatening.
