Teen Found With Handgun, 50 Rounds Of Ammo On Central California Campus
FRESNO (CBS/AP) -- Internet social network rumors of plans to shoot up a Central California school have led to the arrest of a teenager who brought a handgun and ammunition to school.
The 14-year-old boy, a ninth grader, was arrested in a classroom Thursday afternoon at Central High School.
The teen had a .25-caliber handgun and more than 50 rounds of ammunition.
Fresno County sheriff's investigators and the school district superintendent say rumors began circulating Wednesday on Facebook that someone planned a shooting on the Fresno campus.
