Central Valley Soccer Coach Charged With Raping Teen Girl
OAKDALE (CBS/AP) -- An Oakdale soccer coach was jailed on a charge of raping a 16-year-old girl while she slept in his home after a party.
44-year-old Timothy Lyman was arrested Monday and was in the Stanislaus County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
Oakdale police said Lyman was a soccer coach and the girl was one of his players. The name of the soccer league is being withheld.
Investigators said teenagers had been partying and drinking alcohol at Lyman's home late last month. Oakdale is near Modesto in the San Joaquin Valley.
Lyman was apparently the only adult at the party.
The girl told police Lyman gave her alcohol and she woke up with Lyman having sex with her.
