For these bars, it is a lifestyle to live and a cheer to give. Downtown Livermore will be alive and kicking on St. Patty's Day, and family-owned and operated First Street Ale House plans to be a highlight of this night. FSAH offers huge burgers, outdoor seating and fee Wi-F - what more reason is there to come out to this bar fully of TVs and great beer on rotating taps? This place will be packed, so try to get there early, unless you relish the thought of standing on top of others to get your order placed.  This is the perfect place to grab your friends and celebrate the luck of the Irish. This is the place for St. Patty's Day beer lovers to hang when they don't want to slug down any of those everyday suds. Triple Rock Ale House does it right; it brews its own beer – and it's done right. TRB serves many famous hops, including Monkey Head, which is said to be a beer to drink before you're dead. But, since Monkey Head is served only on Thursdays, try the Pinnacle Pale Ale or the Triple Rock specialty brews —rotated throughout the year and brewed off schedule, subject to the notions of the brew master.

Celebrate your 'Erin go bragh' at The Trappist, where solid pub food and an incredible beer selection awaits. This is a Victorian, Oakland historical building with a true Irish pub/Belgian bar ambience with friendly bartenders. With three bars and a huge selection of brews, this is a pit stop 'must' for the St. Patty's Day Bus. The Trappist offers specialties, each done extremely well.

Coming here for St. Paddy's Day is a great chance to delve into some delicious corned beef and cabbage. With approximately 60 beers on tap and a full bar complete with 14" HD TVs, pool table, live bands, DJs and Karaoke – this Irish Pub doesn't kid around when it comes to having a good time. Dublin Sports Pub is great for coming with a large group – or just coming with a few of your lads and lasses. Either way, your luck will be just being a part of the atmosphere at this great Irish place.

When you come to drink at Caps and Taps, you'll drink a beer that is always fresh, since the bar has a constant turnover of brews on tap. If on St. Patty's Day, you are here and your stomach gets a ping that you need to eat, the bar is much obliged to let you bring in your own food to eat, to pair with your favorite drinks.
