When you get tired of all the trite player sound bytes and ticket scam stories you might want to check out cbsSF.com to catch the true flavor of what a Super Bowl is all about, especially in New Orleans. If the game is the entrée, the city is the appetizer. And believe me, in this town, the menu is large.

Vern Glenn and I will be webcasting live Monday through Friday nights from 7:30 to 8 p.m. from the hottest sights in New Orleans. What to see Vern down a Hurricane? Want to see how many crayfish he can eat in 10 minutes? How about some live jazz or a fortune told of the 49ers fate in the Super Bowl? These are all part of our rather ambitious journey into a historic part of town with cobblestone streets far too small to accommodate 100,000 people.
Of course, our success rests in the mobile technology of a little box they call a Dejero which, they tell me, can transmit a live signal from anywhere in Louisiana with the exception of the Bayou. There will be no commercials, no graphics, no pre-recorded video and no taped sound bytes. Best of all, we won't have management screaming in our ears to "cut!"
To be honest, we have no idea what to expect. Which is why it might be worth watching!
