The couple told Fox News that they expect to learn the baby's sex next month and have been spending their time reviewing baby names and reading baby books.
"We are just so excited," the 23-year-old former Miss California USA told Fox411. "I'm due in May on my grandmother's birthday. She recently passed away, so that's very special to us."
Gossip blogger Perez Hilton turned the spotlight on Prejean during the 2009 Miss USA pageant, from which she emerged as the first runner-up. During interview questions, Hilton asked her about same-sex marriage and she said she opposed it, something he later publicized on his blog.
Prejean was later accused of breaching her contract and was stripped of her Miss California USA title.
She and Boller, 29, were married in July.
