Carly Rae Jepsen To Appear On 90210
(THE CW BAY AREA) - Carly Rae Jepsen now has a new number to call her own. 9-0-2-1-0. The phenom pop star with that infectious tune, "Call Me Maybe" has been confirmed to call '90210' home. Starting October 8, Jepsen will appear and perform a track off her first album on The CW show.
Show producers Patti Carr and Lara Olsen said "We fell in love with her song when we first heard it, and used it in last season's finale before it was a national sensation. We think she's an exciting artist and are thrilled to be able to have her music on the show again, this time in a live performance in our season premiere."
According to TVLine.com, Jepsen will be the headlining Adrianna's (Jessica Lowndes) Las Vegas Premiere but is soon interrupted with news of Dixon's (Tristan Wilds) car accident.
The song "Call Me Maybe" is a hit on national and local radio stations like 99.7 [Now] and Alice@97.3 and has spent 4 weeks on the top of Billboard Magazine's Hot 100 Singles chart. The song blew up YouTube with a barrage of tribute videos including an Obama remix and a video with The Roots and Jimmy Fallon with Carly Rae Jepsen performing acoustically.
