Car Engulfed In Flames On Bay Bridge
OAKLAND (CBS SF) - Firefighters doused a car fire on the Bay Bridge Monday morning.
It happened just east of Treasure Island on the new span.
A Sigalert was issued at just after 10:00 a.m. about a small SUV fully engulfed in flames. Smoke was visible for miles.
Two lanes were blocked, but cars were allowed to pass.
It took about 40 minutes for firefighters to put it out.
The Sigalert was cancelled and all lanes were reopened by 11:00 a.m.
No one was hurt in the fire, according to the CHP.
