Caltrain Hits, Kills Pedestrian On Tracks Near San Bruno Station
SAN BRUNO (KCBS) – Caltrain service was disrupted Wednesday morning after a southbound train struck and killed a pedestrian on the tracks in San Bruno.
Caltrain officials said the collision happened around 5:15 a.m. on the tracks between South Linden Avenue and Scott Street.
Transit officials were advising all southbound passengers out of San Francisco to take Bay Area Rapid Transit as far as the Millbrae station, and then transfer to Caltrain for the remainder of their commute. Trains were single-tracking as the investigation continued into the incident.
BART officials also said that they will honor Caltrain tickets on Wednesday morning because of the fatality and expected delays.
