Caltrain Hits, Kills Man On Tracks In Palo Alto
MOUNTAIN VIEW (CBS SF) -- A man was killed on the Caltrain tracks in Palo Alto Monday morning, a Caltrain spokeswoman said.
The man was hit by northbound train No. 211 at Charleston Road, spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.
Riders were advised to expect major delays throughout the morning commute.
Shortly before 8 a.m., Dunn said the southbound track had reopened, and that trains would be able to single-track through the area at slow speeds.
The death marks the fifth fatality on Caltrain tracks this year.
