Cal's Keenan Allen To Skip Combine Workouts Due To Injury
BERKELEY (CBS Sports) - Cal's Keenan Allen, projected by many NFL Draft analysts as a first-round pick in April's draft, will not work out at this week's combine in Indianapolis, his agent J.T. Johnson confirmed to CBS Sports on Wednesday.
Allen had some swelling in his knee while he was training. He went to get an MRI and saw noted orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews, who diagnosed Allen as having a Grade 2 PCL strain.
According to Allen's agent, Andrews told the 20-year-old wideout that his injury should not ever require surgical intervention.
