Cal Dominates In 80-60 Win Over Arizona
BERKELEY (CBS/AP) -- Lindsay Sherbert scored 20 points, including six 3-pointers, to lead California past Arizona 80-60 on Saturday.
Talia Caldwell grabbed a double-double, scoring 13 points and pulling down 18 rebounds, as the Bears (10-4, 2-1 Pac-10) won the third of their last four games.
Cal began with an 8-0 run and the Wildcats (11-4, 2-2) answered with eight straight of their own, but after that, the game belonged to the Bears.
The Wildcats got within 50-43 early in the second half, but Sherbert hit a 3-pointer for the Bears to spark a 9-0 run that put the game out of reach.
Davellyn Whyte led Arizona with 23 points while Ify Ibekwe got a double-double for the Wildcats with 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Layshia Clarendon added 14 points for the Bears while DeNesha Stallworth scored 13 and Rama N'diaye 12.
