Britney Spears Added As Apple Music Fest Headliner
By Hayden Wright
(RADIO.COM) – Britney Spears will officially co-headline the 2016 Apple Music Festival in London next month. She joins Elton John, Alicia Keys, Calvin Harris and Robbie Williams on the headliner ticket, as well as The 1975, OneRepublic, Bastille, Michael Buble and Chance the Rapper. That brings the grand total of headliners to 10 acts representing pop, EDM, indie rock, and hip-hop.
The September engagement marks Spears' first U.K. appearance since 2011. "I'm so excited to go back to London, which is a special place for me to visit. It's going to be a great party," she told the BBC.
Britney couldn't be having a bigger career moment—tonight she'll be featured on "Carpool Karaoke," her album Glory drops tomorrow and on Sunday she will perform at the Video Music Awards. And finally, the Lifetime network just announced that a 2-hour biopic about her sometimes turbulent experience in the spotlight is in the works.
