Brentwood Man Sentenced In Fake Firefighter Teen Rape Case
MARTINEZ (CBS/AP) -- An East Bay man convicted in the kidnap and rape a teenage girl while posing as a firefighter will likely spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Thirty-three-year-old Daniel Alfredo Flores of Brentwood has been sentenced to 80 years to life in prison.
The Contra Costa County judge who issued the sentence on Friday said Flores had shown no remorse.
According to prosecutors, Flores pretended to be a firefighter when he abducted the 17-year-old girl from her home in October 2005. The victim testified that Flores put her in his trunk and took her to a dark garage where raped her for six hours.
A jury found Flores guilty in April of six counts of rape, two counts of first-degree burglary and other charges.
The Contra Costa Times reported that neither the victim nor her family appeared for the sentencing.
