Burglars Damage Dozens Of Vehicles In Brentwood, Livermore
BRENTWOOD (CBS SF) -- Police are looking for suspects who burglarized dozens of vehicles in the East Bay last week.
A vehicle reported to be connected with a string of vehicle burglaries in Livermore early Friday was reported stolen from a Hampton Inn in Brentwood later that morning.
According to Brentwood police, officers were called to the Hampton Inn at 7605 Brentwood Blvd. after a hotel guest reported a car break-in around 4 a.m.
When police arrived, they found 17 vehicles with damage in the hotel parking lot. Another hotel guest later reported their car, a white Lexus that matches the description of the one used in a string of Livermore vehicle burglaries that same day, had been stolen.
In the Livermore break-ins, police arrived to the area of Hawk Street, Tiger Lily Common and Tiffany Common to find 34 vehicles with damage.
A resident there reported seeing a white Lexus in the area during the time when the break-ins were happening, and surveillance cameras captured the stolen car entering the area around the same time.
Livermore police said four suspects were seen smashing out windows and fleeing once car alarms sounded.
Police from both cities are still working to identify the suspects, who remain at large.
