Brentwood Gas Leak Forces Evacuation Of 8 Homes
BRENTWOOD (CBS SF) -- PG&E crews were working to repair a gas leak in a Brentwood neighborhood Friday night, a PG&E spokeswoman said.
The leak was first reported at 2786 St. Andrews Drive at 4:22 p.m., PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said.
Eight houses were evacuated as a precaution while PG&E workers shut off gas service in the area. The gas main was shut off at 7:28 p.m.
The evacuated residents were allowed to return then, but 10 customers were without gas service while repairs are completed.
PG&E expected to finish the repairs by about 6 a.m. Saturday and will return gas service to the affected homes after that, Morris said.
