Body Found In Sonoma County Identified As Former CHP Officer
CLOVERDALE (CBS SF) - The Sonoma County coroner's office has identified a man found dead in Asti on Monday afternoon as 55-year-old George Martin Feeney, of Cloverdale.
A passerby found Feeney around 2 p.m. on the ground near the intersection of Asti and Washington School roads in northwestern Sonoma County, California Highway Patrol Officer Jon Sloat said.
Sloat said a bicycle was found near Feeney's body, and it appears he suffered a medical emergency.
"There was no sign of a collision, no injuries and no damage to the bike," Sloat said.
The coroner's office pronounced Feeney dead at 2:08 p.m.
Sloat said Feeney was a CHP officer in Marin County and retired in the early 1990s.
