Body Found Along Alameda Shoreline
ALAMEDA (CBS SF) - A man's body was found along the Alameda shoreline Wednesday morning, a police lieutenant said.
A man walking down a path at Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach noticed the body around 10 a.m., near where Westline and Shore Line drives meet on the eastern side of the island, Alameda police Lt. Ted Horlbeck said.
Alameda fire crews pulled the man's body from the water. He was believed to be Asian and between 20 and 30 years old, and was fully clothed, with no obvious signs of trauma, Horlbeck said.
It is believed that the body had been in the water for about six hours, he said.
The Alameda County coroner's bureau was working to identify the man.
