Body Found On Sidewalk In Hayward Neighborhood
HAYWARD (CBS SF) - A man was found dead on the sidewalk in front of a home in Hayward early Monday morning, according to police.
Shortly before 4:30 a.m., police responded to several reports of gunfire around the 22000 block of 7th Street, according a statement issued by Hayward Police Lt. Roger Keener.
Officers found an unresponsive man in his early to mid 20's on the sidewalk neand fire department personnel pronounced him dead at the scene, according to Keener.
The location was blocked off as an active crime scene with investigators searching for clues and looking for witnesses, said Keener.
No other injuries were reported in the shooting and no suspect was identified.
